Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

Starting something new from an author I enjoy always reminds me of entering the pool by walking down the stairs vs just jumping in.
Star Bright is the first book of the new Bright Young Things series and focuses on socialite Stella Spencer and journalist Levi Hunt. On paper, these two shouldn’t work, but from their first meeting they click and I wanted to see more of them together.
Ms Hart does an excellent job of weaving in the world building of the Bright Young things into the developing relationship between Levi and Stella. There is just the right amount of focus on friendships and other pieces of the puzzle that I want to know more about the secondary cast and events surrounding them. But Stella, Levi, and the issues they have are not over powered.
Star Bright is well written and entertaining from the very beginning. Full of prose and dynamic characters, this is a story that shows the grass may not be greener on the other side. I was pulled in relating to people whose experiences are vastly different from my own, but I found myself wanting them to find their happy. The approach to the conflict between Stella and Levi was unique and i can’t wait to see what may be coming next for the rest of the Bright Young Things.
