3.5 stars ~ Worth a Reader's Time

The Billionaire is the second book in the Dalton brothers series and I was curious about it after meeting Jenner in the first book.
I’m going to be a bit brutal and tell you that this book has a 3.5 star rating instead of 4 for the same reason as the first book, there is an imbalance (in my opinion) between the heat/spicy factor of the book and the plot/story line.
I genuinely liked Jenner and Jo and the glimpses we see of their personalities and how they work together, I would have loved to have seen more of that and to have seen those things be built on.
The fact that these two have such fiery chemistry makes seeing them together almost melt the ereader, but much like Dominick and Kendall in The Lawyer, the emotional connection didn’t make the transition as well.
Don’t get me wrong - I enjoyed the heck out of this book, it is a great escape read. My only regret is that the emotional writing I’ve seen from Ms Mann in the past didn’t come along with the steaminess. I am also curious to see what happens to the youngest Dalton brother, Ford, in The Single Dad.
