If you are looking for the feel good story of the holiday season this is it.
We see a mom giving up her plans for Christmas to accommodate the wishes of her adult children, but instead of being upset she roles with the punches …. That just keep coming.

Before long, there is a boyfriend plus his kids. His ex wife. The daughter’s ex boyfriend, the son’s “evil” mother in law, and more family joining in the holiday.

Ms Mallery does an excellent job with a full cast of characters. While we may not a super deep dive on everyone, we learn enough over time to understand the dynamics and appreciate the growth that comes along.
There are hiccups, but ultimately, happy endings. I left the Parker crew feeling refreshed and hopeful!

Oh it’s so good to be back in Kelly Lakes!
We met Mike when he was a grumpy teen. Fast forward a decade and he’s now patrolling the streets of his hometown as a police officer.
He’s paired with Lila, who moves to town to escape a bad situation in Philadelphia.

Both characters are likeable and easy to root for as we got to know them. I enjoyed seeing them start as friends and let things evolve from there. Add in a great secondary cast of people we’ve met before and an intriguing sub plot and this is another winner from Ms Rose!

From Here to Eternity introduces us to a new community in a spin off series from Redemption Hills.
We meet River along with his sister, son, and crew and get glimpses into the hard lives they lived to be where they are now. He is paired with Charleigh and oh my, the baggage this poor girl carried!

Ms Jackson uses her unique style to let us see where River and Charleigh are right now and gradually peel back the layers. It was impossible to not be invested in these characters and their story.

As with many of Ms Jackson’s couples there is an element of fate bringing these people together at just the right time. It was a true pleasure to see personalities and relationships blossom.

The secondary cast is fairly limited, but the players we see make a real impact, I can’t wait to see this world expand in future stories.

This is a fun novella-length read leading into the holiday season.
Meg and Anthony were sweethearts who life and circumstances pulled apart. Seeing them reconnect was sweet.

Given the historical setting, some of the ideas are a bit stretched, but I was willing to put those aside to just enjoy the story. The length of the book means that some pieces are skimmed over.

Overall, it's a sweet read, but I don't know if I am intrigued enough to read more by this author.

This was a free read and it was entertaining, but I will not be seeking out more by this author.
The plot is incredibly thin and there are multiple editing issues and inconsistencies.
