Newer Release Reviews

Work and kids seem to keep messing up my review schedule. I had a couple of new releases slip through the cracks, so we have those reviews posted here.

You Do Something to Me (New York Sullivans #3, The Sullivans, #17)You Do Something to Me by Bella Andre

3.5 sweet stars - Worth a Reader's Time

Review Copy Provided by Author

This is all around feel good book.
Alec and Cordelia are a case of instant attraction- which we expect from Ms. Andre. Both characters are easy to like and root for; and their happy ending.
There weren’t any big surprises here, but it was a feel good read that I truly enjoyed.
A strong element of family relationships continues in this story as we see Alec struggle with his relationship with his Dad. He and Cordelia have a gracious way of helping each each other navigate through difficult times that is refreshing to see.
If you have followed the Sullivan series then you will enjoy getting to see much loved characters making cameos as well too!

Make Me Yours (Men of Gold Mountain, #4)Make Me Yours by Rebecca Brooks

My rating: 4 of 5 stars - Would Recommend to a Friend

Review Copy Provided by Publisher via Net Galley

Part of a series, Make Me Yours is also a stand alone effort and an excellent second chance story.
At 20, Claire met Ryan (a musician) and fell in love. Young love ran into issues and when the stakes were high, she made the choice to leave and make a life for herself and her daughter.
Fast forward 5 years and fate brings these two together again. Ms. Brooks did an excellent job of bringing these two together and letting them work out the past and the present.
I liked both Ryan and Claire and could appreciate where each was coming from. Maya was a little scene stealer, but made a few key moments in the book work.
The secondary cast isn’t huge, but they help nudge our characters to where they need to be! I was a late joiner to this series, but I didn’t feel like I missed anything as I was reading this book.
This is definitely a book worth reading!
