Crazy (The Gibson Boys, #4)Crazy by Adriana Locke

My rating: 4 of 5 stars - Would Recommend to a Friend

Peck (the male lead in Crazy) is a secondary character we’ve seen in the three previous Gibson boy books. What we knew of him was fairly superficial- he’s their cousin, a little goofy, a big flirt, and will fight for cheeseball. In Crazy, we get a chance to know the good guy behind the image.

Ms Locke did an amazing job of peeling back the layers of “fun” Peck to get to the real man. It was impossible not to fall a little bit in love with someone who is devoted to his family, has a tendency to put everyone else first, and finagles dinner from family and friends just so he doesn’t have to eat alone.

He’s not a perfect character, he has his baggage and flaws. In this case those things make him the perfect person for his love interest who has her own set of matching Samsonite to cart around.

I enjoyed getting to go on this Crazy ride with Peck and his lady love. For series followers, you will be glad to see a certain mystery resolved. This is also a good chance to catch up with the other Gibson boys and scene stealer, Nana. This is technically a stand alone, but there is enough crossover of characters in all of the books, that I would suggest reading one or two of the others first. We also get our first real glimpse of Peck’s brother and the lone Gibson girl, Blair, also makes an appearance. Does this mean we may see books for them in the future? I sure hope so!

Unraveled: Corwin & Belle's story (Until You Book 1)Unraveled: Corwin & Belle's story by Christa Wick

3.5 Stars - Worth a Reader's Time

This is a super quick, steamy “forbidden” read. The forbidden piece is that Belle has a long time crush on her best friend’s older brother- and guess what, he has a crush on her too.

Given the novella length, we don’t get to know the characters super well, but what we do is sweet and has me rooting for them.

This is the first in a series focusing on 3 (male) high school friends whom have made careers in elite military units. I am looking forward to seeing what happens next in the series!
