The biggest flaw with Fearless (Ms Bliss’ addition you the Salvation Society spin off from Corinne Michaels’ Salvation series) is that it’s not longer.

The focus here is Makenna (Mak), the daughter of Mark and Charlie, and the handsome stranger who rescues her when she may or may not need it. I genuinely liked both characters and enjoyed getting to know them.

Ms Bliss does an excellent job of introducing us to Mak and Austin and pulling some of own Inked characters into the story. But, we got to the end of the story and I felt a bit let down because I really wanted more. There were so many potential conflicts that were not explored, this is a work that may have been done a disservice by having to fit within certain parameters for length, etc. I hope Ms Bliss will be bringing us more Mak and Austin soon, I’d love to know what happens next.

Corinne Michaels’ Salvation Series is one that I’ve read some books for, but not all. When then”world” was announced, I was curious about not only about the stories, but about the authors as well.

In Faithless, we meet Shane (a child of the original series) just as he goes through one of the toughest situations ever. I was a bit leery of the set up for this book, but Ms Green has the characters address the “ick” factor and made it easy to root for them.

He is paired with Kate. I liked how she was someone who had gone after her dreams and was frustrated on her behalf for the lack of family support she received.

Faithless is not a long book and because of that, there is not a ton of back story. Shane’s story is a bit more fleshed out, but there were still things that I wished had been addressed. I was left with a lot of questions about Kate and what exactly the issue with her family was about.

Overall, this was an entertaining read. I remain curious about the original books that I haven’t read and the additional Salvation Society books.
