Reputation brings together the worlds of the Mason family and The Relationship Pact by focusing on Coy Mason and Bellamy (A Relationship Pact secondary character).
Ms Locke let us in on why Bellamy is so anti-Coy and we get to see them repair the friendship and explore the idea of a romance that has been brewing for several years.
The Reputation is more than an enemies to friends to lovers story. It’s also a story about priorities, lowering barriers, and putting faith in love. Bellamy and Coy’s journey is one that reaches out touches the heart. Ms Locke does an excellent job of letting us see how Bellamy struggles with the things on her plate in a way that made me wish I could bring her home and take care of her. Coy’s part of the journey is a bit different- I felt for him, but also wanted to pop him on the back of the head for being a typical mid 20 something guy and not owning his own decisions.
This is a classic Ms Locke book in that both characters are strong personalities. There is laughter, passionate moments, and tenderness. Add in stronger emotional moments too and I think Coy and Bellamy might be some of my favorite characters to date.
