New Release:

Love for Beginners (Wildstone, #7)Love for Beginners by Jill Shalvis

3.5 stars - Worth a Reader's Time

This is another solid entry into the series surrounding Wildstone.

Emma and Allison were high school nemisi who stumble across each other when they are both at a cross roads in life. Ms Shalvis did a wonderful job of making these two, along with the men in their lives, relatable and people that I wanted to spend time with.

I appreciated seeing the evolution of the cast. We saw humor, healing, and some hard truths hit home as Emma, Allison, Simon, and Ryan figured things out.

Add in scene stealer seniors and furry friends, and this was a great feel good story.

My Kind of Perfect (A Trillium Bay Novel Book 3)My Kind of Perfect by Tracy Brogan

3.5 stars - Worth a Reader's Time

My Kind of Perfect is a great beach/pool side read for the summer. Ms Brogan brings the reader back to Trillium Bay on the shores of Lake Huron where the town is a much of a character as the people.

In this installment, the story is focused on Lilly, the youngest of the Callaghan sisters. Lilly’s story seemed to perfectly capture the idea behind “the grass is always greener.”

I appreciated how the author was both gentle with Lilly as she returned home and navigated figuring out what she wanted, but also made her seem some hard truths about life. Lilly’s sisters played a huge part of this story, and series followers will be glad to see what Brooke and Emily are up to now. Part of me feel like this is the perfect conclusion to the series, but I am also sad to see Trillium Bay go.
