Friends to lovers with a twist of forbidden romance - all in a small town - yes, please!
A L Jackson uses her unique style to pull us into the second installment of the Time River series and not let go!
This time we are with Ryder and Dakota, both secondary characters from book 1, as their friendship moves on to more. I loved both characters and found myself rooting for them to get life figured out.
This book has a lot going on. There is the lifelong friendship of Ryder and Dakota, the obvious and suppressed feelings, and intrigue surrounding Ryder’s past. All of that blends with an excellent cast of secondary characters to create a story that I was excited to see where it was going and sorry to see end all at the same time.
While this is the second installment in a series (and reading in order will help with the back story), it is a complete standalone. I can’t wait to see what the third cousin, Ezra, gets up to!
