An emotional friends to lovers story- with a twist.
This is my first Maverick book, but after reading about Paige and Evan, I will be going back to read the others.
This is a well written and engaging story. All of the characters are entertaining, but because of the pace, none of super developed. This is definitely part of a series, with lots of cross over from previous books. There is enough back story shared that anyone can jump into the series with this book, but there is a little bit of a muddy water feel because it is the fourth book (meaning 3 other couples to be caught up on).
A quick, sexy read.... perfect for pure entertainment.

Feel the Heat by Kate Meader3.5 stars - Worth a Reader's Time
This was fun story about how family, love, and the different ways our dreams can take shape.
Lili and Jack meet when his TV show (produced by her sister) shows up in the family restaurant.
We see Jack evolve from a kind of shallow celebrity focused character to someone we want to depend on and who sees the value of the family he's never had. Lili's evolution is a little more emotional and has to do with her always putting others first.
These two played well off of each other in a well written story with an excellent supporting cast. I'm curious to find out more about the DeLuca clan!
