About the Author
Author Gia Riley has been in love with writing romance since high school when she took her very first creative writing class. From the small but mighty state of Delaware, she’s a country girl at heart, traveling back to her roots in Pennsylvania as often as she can. She’d rather pick truth than dare, bake than cook, and will always choose coffee over tea. Just like life, her stories always have a mixture of heart and humor.

I didn't see THAT coming.... that was a pretty common theme is Stay Awhile.
From the very first page, there are twists and turns in Megan's life - to the extent that I would have expected her to break. I was impressed over and over again with her resilience.
I loved Garrett and appreciated how steadfast he was in his care of Megan and her daughter.
Part of me wanted to say that the evolution of Megan and Garrett's relationship was too fast, except for the fact that they have known each other since high school and that does mitigate some of the speed.
I enjoyed this book and was pulled in to the story, my one complaint was a twist introduced at the very last minute. It didn't really change the outcome of the story, but it did introduce an element of "is this story really done" at a point I would have said we didn't need it.
If you are looking for a non traditional romance with a touch of intrigue- then this is a great book for you.
