This was a fun and, surprisingly, emotional book taking a look at the developing relationship between 2 college students.
Delaney and Maverick are both well written and developed characters that you can’t help but like. They really are the yin to the others yang and their similar emotional histories make it that much easier for them to relate to each other.
I enjoyed that craft Ms Mills showed in letting them get to know each other, especially showing the more sensitive side to the campus hero.
Given that this is a book about 21 year olds, we don’t get a super deep dive into the emotional and there is some drama just for the sake of drama, but that is to be expected.
This is definitely one to read, especially all of you football loving nerd girls!
