In reading the 6 previous books of the Vested Interest series, Sandy has been a consistent secondary character. She has been the mother, the confidante, and the swift kick in the rear as the original three “BAM” boys and their friends have needed her.

This is not only the story of Sandy finding her way past grief to a second chance at love, but it is also a sweet catch up with the entire Vested Interest family. That said - if you haven’t read the series, I’m not sure I would recommend starting here.

Ms Moreland does an excellent job of giving us a sense of where Sandy is in her journey and I loved the pairing between her and the widower Jordan. The previous relationships were treated with care and respect, something that made Sandy, Jordan, and the budding romance that much easier to root for.

This is a feel good read that addresses what happens when happily ever after ends much too early. Ms Moreland’s gentle hand made this a sweet read that tugged at the heart strings as we wished one pair well and sent all of our dear friends on their way.
