When I heard Devney Perry had a new project coming under a pen name, I was curious. I expected to enjoy The Bribe and I was right! This is a great introduction to a new series, new community, and new characters that I think we are going to love spending time with for a long time.
Duke and Lucy have an awesome meet cute and a bit of misunderstanding before the sparks fly. The push/pull surrounding them initially was fun to watch and it was even sweeter to see them evolve.
Add in a bit of mystery and you have a book that keeps you on your toes while you fall in love with these characters and the town of Calamity. There a couple of secondary characters introduced that I am very curious about - I’m hoping there will be more books set in Calamity.
