Book 2 in the Chicago Grizzlies series focuses on team playboy, Damon, and what happens when life throws him a curve ball. He is paired with Adeline a small town school teacher.
The accidental pregnancy trope is one we’ve seen before, but I appreciated the way it was handled here. Adeline is a strong female lead who is willing to put her child first, but not necessarily put herself second.
Piper Rayne does an excellent job of balancing the trio of friends who make up this portion of the Grizzlies series with the evolving relationship between Damon and Adeline. We also get to see him “grow up” and figure things out. I really liked these two together and their journey was a feel good experience.
The secondary cast here is entertaining and I am curious to see where future stories take them.
