I have to admit I had a sigh of relief with this book. I enjoyed the Wedding Belles prequel, but struggled a little bit with Brooke and Seth's story, so I was very glad when I liked both Josh and Heather fairly quickly in For Better or Worse.
An adversarial start turns into a friendship that blossoms into more than either Josh or Heather claim to want. They were fun, flirty, and a treat to watch. There were emotional undertones and secrets kept that cause there to be doubt about the viability of a long term relationship, but you can't help but root for them to get it figured out. Josh was funny, smart, and talented, but Heather stole the show for me. I appreciated her pluckiness and devotion to friends - even the way she said goodbye.
If you are a fan of Lauren Layne's work, then For Better or Worse will be a treat of emotion and humor. It is also a great set up for the next book in the series as we get to see more of Alexis and Logan. I am looking forward to seeing what happens in their story.
