Elizabeth's Review

Rapturous (Quantum, #4)Rapturous by M.S. Force

My rating: 4 of 5 stars - Would recommend to a friend

Wow!
It's been a while since I read the first three books in the Quantum series, but these are so well written that I didn't have any trouble slipping back into that world to spend time with Hayden and Addie.
We've met both of these characters before, but really get to know them here. It was nice to see a softer side to Hayden as they tried to figure out if the love between them was enough to make a life together.
Ms. Force did an excellent job of walking the line of showing us Hayden's tortured side, but without making the push/pull he had with Addie seem repetitive. This is also a story where the secondary cast makes a huge impact, but doesn't detract from their love story.
Rapturous doesn't have the heavy feel of the first three books in the series, but the emotions still ripple off the page and pull the reader in.

This is a case of I liked it, but....
I love the premise! 2 people who have been friends for years and have always been attracted to each other - they just never admitted it. One thing changes and they get a taste of being together -they just have one pesky hurdle to clear....
Ms. Force does a good job with the attraction/relationship building with Ellie and Jasper. I found their relationship to be believable and rooted for them to make it work.
My issue was the sexy time. Yes, the "life style" is important to Jasper and it's something Ellie is new too, but I felt that too much time was spent on the introduction of her to that life and it went too far too fast. I actually found myself skimming those scenes in the book to spend more time with the characters in more real life situations.
This is a good addition to the series, but may not be the strongest book.
