Jorinda Pearce thought she did everything right – graduated from college, married her long-time sweetheart, established a career. But what does she have to show for it now? A degree she doesn’t use, a job she hates, and an ex-husband that broke her heart. Looking for a long overdue adventure, Jorie takes a walk on the wild side and attends a masquerade event at The Wicked Horse Vegas. It’s exactly the escape she’s looking for, and even better, she can explore anonymously. Drawn to the man masked in black leather with the body of a god, Jorie finds the greatest pleasures of her life at the hands of a stranger.
Walsh Brooks is the most sought after man in The Wicked Horse. Sex is nothing but a game to him and he’s the type that will always leave at the end of the night without looking back. Unfortunately for Walsh, there’s no way he can walk away from the mysterious green-eyed beauty behind the mask of sapphire feathers, because he knows exactly who she is. Jorie is his best friend’s little sister and there’s not another woman in the world that’s more off limits.

Sawyer Bennett takes us back to the Wicked Horse Vegas to see another player fall in the game of love.
I liked Jorie and Walsh and the modern day relationship built on a long history together. The brother's friend conflict added an intrigue element that blew up as expected.
The thing that made this fall short of a 4 star read for me was Jorie. I had a hard time connecting to her character. I also struggled with aligning her actions in pursuit of Walsh with the way she described herself as feeling when she came to Vegas. Compounding that issue for me was how she dealt with Walsh's predictable response when her brother found out about them. I liked Jorie, she just wasn't the strong female lead I've come to expect from Ms. Bennett.
I had a few of the same issues with Walsh and what seemed like inconsistencies in the descriptions of his character, but they were easier to reconcile based on things we learn about his as we go.
Overall, this is a good addition to the Wicked Horse family and carries the theme that love really can conquer all - both romantic and familial, so it's definitely worth a read.
