Catherine Bybee does it again; she takes an unlikely pair
and turns them into a couple that you can’t help but root for.
In Treasured by Thursday we return to the world of Alliance
for the final time. Hunter is our billionaire who needs a wife, but plays his
cards close to the vest as to why. Gabi, is the newest Alliance employee and
when she turns the contract down, he decides to play dirty.
What follows is a great story of two people taking an
unlikely circumstance and discovering that they like each other as they get to
know one another. Past secrets and mysteries add an element of suspense. The
author does a wonderful job of integrating the romantic story with the suspenseful
elements without making things drag on forever.
While this is a stand-alone effort, I would highly recommend
having read at least some of the prior weekday bride books before Treasured by
Thursday. Since this is the final book of the series, the prior 6 couples make
numerous appearances in the story. Their appearances are organic and important
to the story, but having the additional background on some of the other couples
was helpful in understanding relationships and having everything make sense.
Overall, this is a book that I would definitely
recommend, especially if you have enjoyed Catherine Bybee’s work in the past. Where to find Treasured by Thursday
