Review Copy provided by publisher via net galley This is a sweet, quick read with interesting characters and a fun premise. I really felt like it was a book with a lot of potential that it didn't really tap into. We meet Kayla after a rough day at work, so she drives 3 hours to see her brother. She almost immediately runs into Brent who ends up saving her later after a storm surprised her on the way home. I liked Brent and Kayla and thought it was neat how circumstances kept pushing them together until they figured it out. Her Unexpected Detour is well written, but I felt like there were things that we glossed over or never addressed. Things like: what really happened on the phone call with her boss, what will Kayla do after she moves, did she ever tell her Dad the truth? This is a book that while entertaining, left me looking for just a little bit more.
