I'll Make You Mine is a new adult novel that makes you want to reach in and just hug the main characters!
Dylan and Zoe are seniors in college who have been friends since their freshman year of high school. They've done a decent job at hiding their developing feelings from each other until they reach a point where they just can't anymore.
Ms Riley has mastered the art of new adult angst! While I was never lucky enough to know a Dylan in college, the issues that he and Zoe dealt with felt real and authentic. There was uncertainty on both sides, fear, but most importantly love. I have to admit to liking Dylan a little more than I liked Zoe. Her willingness to let her sister bully her into doing things she didn't want to bothered me a little, as did the rampant insecurity even after she knew there wasn't a reason to worry.
Well written, I'll Make You Mine pulled me in and didn't let go! I think I would have sat in one place just to read had life not gotten in the way. I liked spending time with Dylan and Zoe and seeing them grow together, but loved where they ended up.
