What are you working on now?

Stoned. A completely new series! A rocker I’ve been dying to write since forever.

Do you get to write full time or do you have a "day" job?

I’m mom during the day. I typically don’t even get to start writing until about 10. I’m also in school but I’m taking a couple semesters off to concentrate on my writing.

Favorite part of being an author?

The ability to sit down and write the stories that takeover my mind. And that people actually like them. The people I’ve met or who have contacted me just to tell me how much they love my books is the most incredible, humbling, rewarding part of this ride.

Scariest part of being an author?

That people will hate the story. As writers we bleed our hearts onto paper (or onto our keyboards? lol) and then we turn it over to the world, leaving ourselves open to be made fools of. It’s rewarding and terrifying!

Who are your favorites to read?

I have way too many to even begin to list them! But some of my absolute best friends are writers so I’m lucky enough to have a constant flow of goodness to read. Usually before anyone else. #authorperks

If you had $1 Million to giveaway, what would you do with the money?

Oh wow! This is a tough one. I would have to do some research, but I donate now to a couple organizations so I would definitely choose one that focused on sick kids, to a Military organization and I think some kind of book endeavor like Colleen Hoover is doing. Something that would continue to make a difference even after my initial donation.

If you could have one super power, what would it be?

To fly! No time travel! No to fly! Oh, hell, all of them!

One piece of advice for an aspiring writer?

Don’t cut corners. Don’t scrimp on a cover, and especially not on an editor. You have one shot to make an impression and in an industry bursting with the most amazing talent you can’t half ass it if this is what you want to do with your life. Sit down, write all the damn words and then focus on polishing your words from the inside out and then putting them in a pretty little package. And don’t make friends with people just because you think they can help your career. I have an incredible support system around me, friends who lift me up and are genuinely happy when I succeed. This book world can be heaven or hell. It’s mostly women and we all know how they can be *smirks* Find your tribe, and be genuine and you win.
