This was a quick fun read.
Ethan is a widower who hasn't been able to rejoin life after his young wife lost her battle with cancer. Rue is a young woman who has never really had anyone want to hold on to her. A quirky accident brings these two together and a charade turns into the real thing.
With the length of the book, we don't get to know either character very well. The surface details that we do learn had me liking them both and rooting for them. There were times when Ethan came across as a little judgmental, but it was hard to tell if that was directed at Rue or himself. Characters from the other Chase brother books appear, but their stories don't cross over into this one. It definitely works as a stand alone. This was definitely a sweet read with a little sexy thrown in too, perfect if you are looking for something light with a HEA ending.
