This was an entertaining read in the Maguire world. We met “bad boy” Ian in his brother Drake’s book and got to know him better here.
He is paired with PR guru, Simone, during his Dad’s campaign for governor.

This is a somewhat surface-level story. We get to know our main characters just enough to enjoy them and root for them. It was fun to see the reformed anti-commitment guy fall hard and fast.

I have enjoyed the Maguire stories - they are fun, light, pleasure reads.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars - Would Recommend  to a Friend

Ms Hart is an author that I’ve enjoyed before, especially the unique situations she creates for her characters and Wild Card is a fantastic return for her!
Jessa is a fish out of water as an English Lady in Tennessee for her best friend’s wedding. A mix-up has her staying with cousin Remy - her polar opposite!
The chemistry between Jessa and Remy was fantastic and I enjoyed seeing them get to know each other. There was so much more to both of these people than they initially showed, that it was truly fun to get to know them as individuals as well.

The secondary cast was key in this story. Cass, the best friend/cousin, her fiancé, Davis, and Henry the best friend/unrequited love all played big roles in moving things forward and helping our leading characters find their way.
Overall, this is a feel-good story about finding what you really want and going after dreams. I am curious to see if the series continues.
