Can I move to Wishing Tree?
No, well, I hope this is a long series because coming to visit this town is a fantastic feel good experience.
In this visit, we get to know River, Camryn, Dylan, and Jake. All four are great characters and I enjoyed getting to see them face the challenges that come with meeting new people and developing friendships that maybe have potential for more.
Ms Mallery does an excellent job of making the reader feel like they are part of the group as we see River and Camryn address their past issues and attempt to be open to the attentions of Dylan and Jake. The guys have their own hurdles to overcome, but these issues made me root for them even more.
Add in an entertaining secondary cast as well as a truly fun community and this is a book that will tug at the heartstrings. I want more of this fun group!

The Akseli is book 4 of interconnected stand alones featuring several Immortal Guardians and Gifted Ones as they venture to live on another planet.
This installment follows space pirate Janwar (a secondary character in previous books) as he rescues then helps Immortal Guardian, Simone.
This book was so much fun. Simone’s personality radiated off the page and I loved how she interacted with Janwar and his crew. There were serious moments and the team searched for the missing Earth women, but these were interspersed with touching moments between Simone, Janwar, and other members of the Tangata’s crew. T was unexpectedly fun secondary character.
While the story between Janwar and Simone is independent, a lot of the story line connects directly to previous books in the series. The best way to appreciate the series is to read it in order. I was glad to see updates for previous main characters as well as get hints at hopefully future books.
