Before You Go ~ Aurora Rose Reynolds ~ New Release & Review
Meet Aurora Rose Reynolds:
Aurora Rose Reynolds is a New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author
whose wildly popular series include Until, Until Him, Until Her, Underground King, Shooting Stars, Fluke
My Life and How to Catch an Alpha series.
Her writing career started in an attempt to get the outrageously alpha men who resided in her head to
leave her alone and has blossomed into an opportunity to share her stories with readers all over the
world.

Dayton Calloway and I wouldn’t have gotten together if it weren’t for two pink lines.
After getting divorced, Francisca Dawson is attempting to find out who she is and how she
wants her life to look. One thing she knows is that there isn’t room for a man in that equation.
But then she meets Dayton Calloway. A man who is charming, funny, and unbelievably
gorgeous. Unable to deny their connection, she gets lost in the moment and gives into his
dirty mouth and skilled hands.
Actions have consequences.
Dayton knew that he never wanted to get married or have children. His upbringing before he
entered foster care showed him that. So he took all precautions to make sure that wasn’t a
possibility.
But like they say nothing is ever one hundred percent.
Now, he’s picturing life as a father and coming to terms with the possibility of having
everything he never knew he wanted with a woman who is not only taking up space in his life,
but that empty space in his chest.
Before you go, do you take a chance and risk it all, or do you just let go and possibly miss out
on the most beautiful love you’ve ever known?
That’s what Dayton and Francisca will have to figure out.
Love is only as messy as you make it.

Before You Go by Aurora Rose ReynoldsMy rating: 4 of 5 stars - Would Recommend to a friend
Oh my… this was the sweet feel good story I didn’t know I needed!
Franny and Dayton are both wonderful characters and I truly enjoyed their journey from unexpected meeting to friends to more.
Ms Rose was gentle with these characters. She allowed them to deal with the baggage they brought in a healthy way and allowed them to ease into the changes life was bring to them.
I appreciated the honesty, open communication, and sense of family woven through the story. It was also fun to catch up with Dayton’s brothers and see where they are now.

Review Round Up ~ May 23

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was so fun!
Harlow (Harry) ran away from her boyfriend and her home town after a giant misunderstanding. 13 years later she’s back needing help from the very man she left behind.
It was a bit of a slow start for Harry, Jax, and their group of friends. But, once things got moving I was invested and rooting for all of them! The secondary cast is entertaining, especially Grace.
The town of Fates Haven is part of wonderful world building. I appreciated how Harry and Jax were able to address the past and move forward all while the group solved a mystery, AND we were able to get to know the town too. I am definitely curious about what might next in Fates Haven!

Dalton Hart returns to his hometown after a 15 year military career and with a truck load of baggage. He connects with his old friend, Brooke, and discovers that time has not stood still waiting for him.
This is a fairly surface level book. There is character development, but not a deep dive. I enjoyed getting to know Dalton, Brooke, and the towns people surrounding them. The drama elements aren’t extreme and resolve themselves fairly quickly. There are also teases about what might happen in future books.

Ms Moreland does the morally gray hero right!
Finn O’Reilly is a mostly good guy, if you ignore his job. He has loved Una Murphy for years, mostly from afar per her wishes.
I liked these two! The tension between them radiated off the page. I appreciated the flashbacks that let us see who they were and how they got to where they are now.
Ma Moreland wove an excellent story that combined unrequited love, found family, and intrigue to launch a new series. Fans of Ms Moreland will be glad to see cameos from previous leading characters and I can’t wait to see Niall’s story!

This is the feel-good read you didn’t know you needed!
Ms Rose brings us a baseball romance featuring “older” characters with an unconventional meet cute.
Silas and Rachel are fantastic characters from the get go and I loved getting to know them. I appreciated that the road blocks Ms Rose gave the couple are external to them and not related to either of them behaving badly.
Ms Rose gives her characters real life struggles and lets them navigated things with grace. Add in some spiciness and interesting secondary players and it was very definitely a book I couldn’t put down!

Let’s go back to Roseville, TN! We met this fun little town in a previous book by Ms Hart and we are back, this time with former high school sweethearts Wilder and Cass. These two had a wild reconnection and I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, so you have to read it!
There are really two stories here. On the surface, there is the second chance that Cass and Wilder have to find out who they are as adults and if the love they felt in high school is still there, thriving, and can expand to include a surprise child.
Deeper into the story is Cass and her journey to redefine herself. The reconnection with Wilder came shortly after a huge life event that left her reeling. The portrayal of her was real in a way that some female main characters aren’t. We were able to see the mental load she carried by taking on too much, something many women do, and how a good partner can mitigate that.
The only reason this wasn’t a 4 star read was the pacing. There were places where I found myself skimming. I enjoyed Cass and Wilder and seeing them craft a life together, but there were places that were a smidge repetitive. (This is completely subjective, so please don’t let me potentially dissuade you!)
The secondary cast was great and am so very curious about where Ms Hart will be taking our friends from Roseville!

Welcome to Peachtree Pass! We get to meet a group of new characters- primarily Christine and Tagger.
They are a mix of best friends little sister all grown up and a potential long distance relationship that shouldn’t work.
I enjoyed these two and I liked them together, but I also struggled with them a little. Part of my struggle was that I didn’t feel like I knew what was motivating the characters. Who Christine and Tagger were as people was pieced together throughout the story and there were times when it was a little fuzzy.
S L Scott is an author I genuinely enjoy reading and this is another entertaining book from her. It’s an interesting community with secondary characters that have me curious.

Synopsis:
It didn’t take long for news to
spread that Tagger Grange was back in Peachtree Pass. I found out even faster
when I fell right into his arms—not by
choice.
The barstool wobbled under me when reaching for a
cheddar biscuit. They’re my weakness. Much
like he used to be.
Rolled up sleeves and tailored pants have replaced the
boots and jeans my brother’s best friend once wore. But it’s not just the
clothes that have changed. His shoulders are broader and he’s broodier.
Somehow, he's even more handsome than ever.
And seeing the little boy
smiling at his side? My heart instantly melts. I can't handle Tagger as a hot
single dad.
Since he has no plans to stay, I know it’s best to
avoid him. But daily run-ins at Rollingwood Ranch make him hard to ignore, and
even harder to walk away.
His heated glances warm my insides, his smile awakens
my dormant heart, and one stormy night leads to crossing lines we vowed we
wouldn’t.
But when falling in the hay turns into falling in
love, I start to wonder if our happy ending is a long time coming. Or will he
return to the city leaving me with a broken heart?
