“Are you a troublemaker, Tyler?”

“Maybe I was. Back in the day,” I say.

Her lips shift in amusement. “Think you’ve still got it in you?”

Oh my… this was the sweet feel good story I didn’t know I needed!
Franny and Dayton are both wonderful characters and I truly enjoyed their journey from unexpected meeting to friends to more.
Ms Rose was gentle with these characters. She allowed them to deal with the baggage they brought in a healthy way and allowed them to ease into the changes life was bring to them.
I appreciated the honesty, open communication, and sense of family woven through the story. It was also fun to catch up with Dayton’s brothers and see where they are now.

The Guest Cottage introduces us to a new town, Bramble, when Marlow move to start over after the death of her almost ex husband.

The town and community are so nice!
I enjoyed getting to meet Marlow and her landlord turned friend turned more, Cort. These are both people who come with different baggage that makes them relate to each other even more.
Add in the unexpected twist of Pixie and it gave Marlow, Cort, and the town even more of a chance to shine. This is definitely a feel good story!!

Hidden Nature introduces us the Cooper family and the Littlefield brothers in the community of Heron’s Rest.
Using parallel story telling, we see Sloan Cooper be injured in the line of duty and come home to heal. This changes the direction her life was taking.
The Littlefields have moved to town to make changes of their own.

Ms Roberts does a wonderful job of easy us into how these changes intersect and how life unfolds around everyone.

The characters are entertaining and easy to like. I found myself rooting for them as every thing started to change. Don’t be fooled by the fact that it took me a long time to read the book - that had more to do with enjoying the outside!
