I was right. I never should’ve fallen back in love with Quinn. I always knew we wouldn’t make it. And to make matters worse, not only did I lose my soulmate—I lost myself as well.

Infinite is a bit of a hard book to review. Why you ask?
1. It’s part 2 of a duet and does not stand on its own. If you haven’t read Indefinite, stop, do not pass go and do not read this book until you do. (This is why the 1/4 star is missing).
2. I find it challenging to review this book without encompassing the whole story.
3. I have to be spoiler free!
I’m going to give this a try. Infinite picks up right where Indefinite left off and drops us right into the very emotional action. Ms Michaels does an excellent job of portraying the emotions that the cast experiences both in the immediate and longer term. We see grief, loss, healing, and love. I appreciated the fact that there was some tough love by family and friends for the characters that needed it and the fact that professional assistance was sought when needed.
Both books in the duet were well written, but I am going to be blunt and say that I don’t really see WHY this needed to be a duet. It’s the author’s creative process and I understand that the need was there for the story to play out a certain way, but I just don’t see it. To me, there were places in each book that were a bit repetitive, not enough to be annoying, but enough that I noticed. It seemed as if with some creative editing the two books could have easily been combined into one story.
Please know that the above comments are not meant to detract from the very powerful story for Ashton and Quinn contained in these books. They are definitely worth reading, I am just not a big fan of duets and feel like there would have been more bang for the buck if the story was complete in one volume.
