What a great Friend to Lovers story!

Lured In continues the story of the O'Donnell brothers and their fishing lodge, The Buoys. This time the story follows the youngest brother, Finn as he finally realizes he has feeling for the resort's Jack-of-all trades employee Jessie.

I liked both Jessie and Finn. They are both dealing with decades old emotional trauma that makes them the perfect person for the other to relate to. The years behind their friendship have paved the way for an amount of trust that is unusual for both and makes their romantic connection that much stronger.

The supporting cast is small, but important. I have to admit that Finn's brother, Liam and his girlfriend, Kate, frustrated me in this book. I liked and rooted for both of them in Off the Hook, but found their interference in Finn's relationship frustrating. The Liam and Kate represented in this story didn't quite ring true to the people I met in the previous book.

Throw in an ex-boyfriend, characters with a great sense of humor, and great sexy time and you have an engaging book that makes you want to come back to the Buoys for Ronan's story.

Off the Hook is a fun second chance romance.

10 years ago, very young Kate and Liam had a whirlwind Vegas romance that resulted in a one day marriage. He slipped out, filed for divorce and they never spoke again. Fate brings them back together when Kate's employer sends her to Liam's family's remote fishing resort.

 I loved watching these two and appreciated how they both handled their reunion. It was refreshing to see both Kate and Liam handle their new working relationship with maturity and very little drama, especially since they were also living in such close proximity.

The O'Donnell family (Liam's siblings) were a hoot and a great supporting cast as the group work to rehab the business. Kate, Liam, and the rest of the gang were great to spend time with. The building and reconnecting of relationships was smooth and it felt like these people could easily be your friends. Ms. Drewry created characters that were easy to like and easy to root for. After getting to know this cast of characters, I am looking forward to see what is in store for the rest of the Buoy's gang.

This is one of those books that I wanted to like, but I just had a hard time loving. I love the idea of friends finally realizing they have deeper feelings for each other, but I struggled with the premise of this book. Jack has supposedly been in love with Maya for 4 years. He and his best friend met her on the same night and he stepped aside for his friend and then watch them get married. Then when the friend cheated, he outwardly sided with the friend while still loving Maya. Two years later, he and Maya run into each other and it's almost insta-romance. How Forever Feels is a well written book, but I found myself incredibly frustrated by both Maya and Jack. My frustration with Jack came from the fact that he so openly let himself be manipulated by Will (the cheating best friend) and his family. I understand why he did, but a recurring thought for me was "you are over 30 years old, get over it, and stand up for yourself." Maya frustrated me because she still seemed so damaged by what Will did even though they've been divorced longer than they were married, but she completely ignored the fact that Jack went with Will in the divorce. I almost quit on this book about halfway through. I'm glad I didn't because the second half was so much more enjoyable for me. Seeing Jack finally stand up for what he wanted was fantastic and I was glad to see Maya stand up for herself too. As frustrated as I was by these two, I found myself rooting for them. This is the 4th book in a series, but it works well all on its own.
