Welcome back to Calamity, Wyoming!
Everly and Hux are characters that we met in book one (The Bribe) and we get to know them better here. Both are characters that I liked and I enjoyed seeing them bring out the best in each other.

A unique marriage of convenience story, Ms Nash does an excellent job of pulling us into the story as Everly and Hux move from one night stand to lovers to friends then maybe more within their marriage.

There are great messages here about perseverance, finding yourself in unexpected places, trust, and the many different forms love can take. These two characters have issues to work through and Hux had one of the more unique grand gestures to show he’d seen the light.

A smallish secondary cast adds to the story. It was fun to see Lucy and Duke (book one) and continue to get know several other characters better as well. I am looking forward to the third book in the series!

Call You Mine is part of a series that focuses on the Aldridge brothers as they deal with a peculiar situation brought about by their deceased and estranged father. This book is number 4 and while it is a stand alone having read some of the other books would be helpful for fully understanding dynamics and personalities.

This book focuses on youngest brother, Beacon, and his best friend, Grace. We’ve seen these two appear in other books, but really get to know them here.

This is a true friends to lovers story and is a bit slow to get going, but once it does, hold on tight! Grace and Beacon are both interesting and likeable characters and they bring a huge secondary cast with them, some I am very curious about! This is a well written and dynamic story with a slightly more humorous/healing undertone than books one and two of the series.

Reading Call You Mine makes me want to go back and read book 3 (since I missed it somehow), has me excited about the last two books, and very curious about Ms Burgoa’s back list - I am hoping some of Grace’s extended family might be there!

I’m always a little curious and a little worried when I pick up a book written in another author’s “world” - mainly because I’m not ever sure what to expect. Until Now is Ms Pike’s entry into a world created by Aurora Rose Reynolds, one I don’t know a whole lot about.

On one level, this was a book I really liked. The characters were interesting and like-able, their connection instant, and the developing relationship organic. I appreciated how both Dominique and Maxen were focused on family and seemed to have their priorities in order.

Where I struggled with Until Now is that I didn’t always hear Ms Pike’s “voice” in the story. It’s hard to put my finger on one particular moment, but there were places where the “world” and secondary characters seemed to overwhelm what was a really great story about getting a second chance at love.

The fourth installment of the Runaway series picks up with Aria as she journeys from her home in Oregon to visit her sister in Arizona. As with the other Runaways we have met so far, Aria’s journey ends up being more than just a physical trip.

I enjoyed seeing her interactions with Brody. Not only their initial sparring, but the moments when they surprised each other and began to form a real partnership.

This is technically a stand alone read. Ms Perry does an excellent job of pulling in the details so that the reader has all of the needed background information. Given that this is the 4th book, I would suggest reading at least some of the other books first - especially Quarter Miles to get the full experience.
