Oh Wow!
Since the beginning of the Wicked Horse series, Bridger has been this mystery figure hovering in the other stories. We got to know him a little bit at a time, but he remained elusive. In Wicked Bond, we get to know more of his background as well as meet the woman who can break through his barriers.

Maggie comes to Bridger physically wounded, he takes care of her and his basic goodness wins her trust. Their road together isn't easy, but watching them together is amazing. To see that something deep inside Bridger connects him to Maggie - and to see through his friends how much their relationship is changing him.

Like the other Wicked Horse books, sex plays a big part of the story, but there is less of a "shock" factor here. The underlying message in Wicked Bond is how to survivors cope with their histories to form an emotional bond. Wicked Bond is very well written and enjoyable. It was nice to Bridger battle his demons and get the ending he deserves.
