Blurb: I haven't seen her in three years. I haven't talked to her since the kiss. So why am I on a plane, flying across the world to spend a week with her in Germany? One word: Pops. My life’s a mess. My possible football career is hanging on by a thread. I'm driving the roads of Germany in honor of Pops with the one girl I can never have. And I’m sharing a bed with her, the girl I've measured everyone else up to, while desperately trying to not to touch her. We made a pact growing up, never to get romantic with each other - never fall in love. And I'm about to break that pact. For good.

After reading The Revenge Pact, I curious to see what might be in store for Crew and Hollis (friends of River). Here, in the Romantic Pact we get to see Crew and his childhood friend, Hazel. I loved the set up for this story. Crew, struggling with grief and a the results of a poor football season, is sent on a trip with Hazel. All orchestrated by his deceased Grandfather.

Crew and Hazel are both characters that are easy to like and it was sweet to see them reconnect and repair their friendship. The messages from “Pops” woven through the story guide both to find what truly makes them happy and tugs at the heart strings.

One thing I had to remind myself of was these characters are in their early 20s, so their ability to deal with some situations is questionable. Their actions make sense when you consider their age and the fact that both are at a cross roads in life.

Now that we’ve seen what Ms Madden-Mills (River) and Ms Quinn (Crew) have given us, I am very curious as to what will happen with the third roommate, Hollis in the hands of Adriana Locke.
