𝙍𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙮 𝙈𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙇𝙄𝙑𝙀!

I rescued her because I had to. I fell in love with her because she gave

me no choice.

Roman Costas

Powerful. Intensely private.

Cold. Dangerous.

When he unwittingly puts an innocent woman in danger, he does something he

never planned.

Becomes involved.

He didn't anticipate the feelings Effie Warner brought out in him.

He didn't expect the woman he rescued to become his world.

All he knows is that he'll burn down the city to keep her safe.

No matter the consequences.

The suspenseful finale in Men of the Falls duet by New York Times Bestselling author Melanie Moreland

In Roman, Ms Moreland brings us back to the Maple at Niagra Falls this time with the boss man.
It was fun to meet him in Aldo's book and even more entertaining to get to know him better here. Ms Moreland gave us an excellent setup to see Roman's tough side along with his gentle side.
Effie was a great leading lady for him, even if the situation that brought them together was less than ideal at some points.

As always, Ms Moreland delivered an entertaining and well-written story with heart. Our hero is an alpha male personality and slightly morally gray, but it's easy to see the good at his core. One of the things I enjoyed about this story is that while it is a dual POV, we see more of Roman's evolution.

Effie doesn't seem as flushed out as a personality, but I still enjoyed getting to know her. I appreciated her strength to navigate hard situations and come out the other side thriving. Combine these great main characters with an excellent supporting cast and this is another winner of a book.
