Silent Sins (Lotus House Book #5)
by Audrey Carlan
#1 New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author
Releases 3rd April
Synopsis
My name is Honor, but I have none to speak of. I’m a high-society princess on the verge of ending it all. I have nothing to show for my life, though my bank account would say otherwise. Money and status has controlled every ounce of my world and I want no part of it. It’s what took away the most important person in my life. He’s gone and I’m alone, and no one is here to save me. Pain is the only pleasure I can feel anymore.
To find a healthier avenue to deal with my grief, I turned to Lotus House Yoga for salvation—and found it in the tall, dark, and brutally attractive Nicholas Salerno. He’s everything I’m not. Lives every day to the fullest, loves his family, and goes after what he wants with a thrust that’s unmatched. I can’t help but be swept up in his beauty as he attempts to show me the light and reawaken my desires. Except Nick doesn’t know what I’ve hidden, and I’m afraid he’ll despise what he finds…when my sins are no longer silent.

I was so glad to return to Lotus House! This is a series I have truly enjoyed and Silent Sins is right up there with the rest.
As the 5th in a series of Interconnected (and sequential, so there is spoiler potential), Silent Sins lets us get to know part-time instructor, Nick, and his love interest Honor. Honor and Nick both come to us wounded. Watching them figure out how to help themselves and each other was heartwarming.
Fast paced, with good characters and an entertaining supporting cast, I really did like Silent Sins.
But, there was one issue that kept this from being a full 4 star read for me and that was the issue of Honor's self care. The baggage Honor brings to the story is incredibly heavy and I truly appreciated the fact that she seeks professional help and begins to heal. That effort is even the thing that lead her to find Nick in the first place via a class at Lotus House. Unfortunately, evidence of her continued treatment dwindled to nothing shortly after she and Nick took some very serious steps together. I realize this is a romance and the focus should be on the relationship, but a healthy relationship requires healthy partners. The issue of Honor's relationship (or lack there of) with her parents was also left unresolved.
Overall, this was a good book and I am looking forward to what happens next for the Lotus house crew.
