Susan Mallery, an expert a relationship and romantic stories continues to impress with The Summer of Sunshine and Margot.

In this stand alone work, she introduces us to fraternal twin sisters who have both reached a cross roads of sorts as they enter their early 30's. Both Sunshine and Margot are characters that are easy to like. It is easy to hope that they find the things they are looking for, and honestly I could see myself being friends with them both.

Mallery does a masterful job of capturing the journeys that both sisters take. While they start out in places that seem so different, it was amazing to see just how much they are hoping to find the same things in life. The relationships that they develop with Alec and Declan are as much about the sister's emotional growth as about budding romances.

This was well written, as would be expected from Ms Mallery. I was pulled into the story and was a little disappointed when the story came to an end because I wanted more time with the characters!

Love EverlastingLove Everlasting by Tracey Alvarez

My rating: 4 of 5 stars - Would Recommend to a friend

This was an entertaining, sweet read.
Reid is a character that we've seen briefly in previous books by Ms Alvarez in a supporting role. Here he takes center stage as our romantic lead. His lovely, if somewhat awkward co star is Darby. From a cute first meeting, to budding friendship, and struggles of acceptance Reid and Darby were both characters that I genuinely liked and wanted to spend time with.

Ms Alvarez has a unique talent for taking serious issues and addressing them in a way that makes the reader think a little. Seeing how breast cancer had impacted both Reid and Darby and the ways that it continued to influence their decisions was something that I might not have considered before meeting these two.

Love Everlasting is a stand alone work that connects to previous works published by Ms Alvarez and loyal readers will see some familiar faces. New readers don't need to worry though and you could easily pick up this well written piece and enjoy. Ms Alvarez is an automatic one click author for me and this just confirms it!
