I’m going to confess, the rating for this book is impacted by the fact that it’s part 1 of a duet and the story isn’t complete. I have a hard time rating part 1 when I don’t know how they whole things ends.
Setting that aside, I enjoyed Indefinite. It’s the 6th book in a series, so there is a bit of “I walked in during the middle of the movie” feel, but Ms Michaels does an excellent job of providing enough back story to feel comfortable with Ashton and Quinn.
I appreciated how Ashton recognized that things had to be different the nth time around and fought for those changes to happen. Quinn’s devotion and determination made him an easy character to root for- I found myself hoping he’d succeed in his mission.
Well written, the book also features a large secondary cast. Fans of the series will be glad to see former main characters return. New readers might struggle a little with the interconnectedness of the secondary cast, especially when the nicknames start flying. I don’t say that to warn anyone off, but just as a heads up. If you are a new Corinne Michaels’ reader, it would be worth the effort to start at the beginning of the Salvation series.
As for me, I am anxious for the conclusion and am looking forward to Infinite.
