Hate to Love You - Isabelle Richards - NEW RELEASE

HatetoLoveYou_Finalhigh

Hate To Love You is LIVE!

Synopsis

Opposites in every way, Chase and Arianna have been bitter rivals since childhood. Constantly in competition, they fight incessantly, making it nearly impossible for them to be in the same room with each other. Until they slept together.
Sex changes everything.
In one emotional evening, they go from enemies to lovers. Hate quickly evolves into passionate lust, but old habits die hard. The love growing between them can’t erase a lifetime of animosity. The two quickly fall back into old routines of spite and vengeance, and their relationship crumbles under the weight of their deep-seated distrust.
Chase and Arianna spend the next two years on opposite sides of the globe, avoiding each other at all costs. Despite the lies they tell themselves, neither one is ready to let go. Even though they are both engaged to other people, they can’t find it in their hearts to forgive each other or to move forward.
A family emergency calls Arianna home, where they have no choice but to face each other again. Will they finally admit the truth, or will they remain forever trapped between love and hate?

Elizabeth's Review

4.5 stars – Would recommend to a friend

Review Copy provided by author

Confession time – I was both excited about the chance to read this book and very nervous about it too. Why was I excited? It’s no secret that I am a little bit of an Isabelle fan girl and absolutely loved her When Fates Collide series. Why was I nervous? What if I didn’t like this new and different book? While Hate to Love You is definitely a different type of story than we’ve had from Isabelle in the past, it is also very much “her,” let me tell you what I thought…. The Characters: The central focus is on Arianna (Ari) and Chase, but there is a core group of secondary characters that are very important to the story. It’s hard to know what to think about both Chase and Ari when we first meet them, but as the story moves on we see just how complex these two people are. They are written in such a way that they start to feel like friends and you care and worry about them. The storytelling: When we first meet Ari and Chase, they are in their mid-20’s and claim to hate each other even though their families are so intertwined that they might as well be one family. It could not have been easy to write this story. Not only do we see thing from a dual point of view, but we also see lots of flashbacks that cover about 7 years. Isabelle does a fantastic job of maintaining the flow of the story while maneuvering through all of those changes. The story: Are Love and Hate really opposites? Ari and Chase have always been competitive and carried animosity for each other. It comes from growing up together and the fact that both are individuals who expect that they will be the best. Things change when they are 17 and they start to see each other a little differently. Isabelle does a fantastic job of giving us glimpses into the past relationship from both points of view and melding that into the modern events. Both Ari and Chase have patterns of behavior that make you want to just shake them. As a reader, you get to see all of their missed opportunities and can imagine what would have happened “if.” Overall: There was nothing for me to be nervous about! Hate to Love You is wonderfully written with a great story and characters. The storytelling is excellent and Isabelle’s unique style is very present. I do have to warn you – there is a cliffhanger. Ari and Chase’s story continues in Love to Hate You which comes out next month.
