Fight for Me by Corinne Michaels ~ New Release and Review

New York Times Bestselling author Corinne Michaels brings a new breathtaking and emotional love story to life in the second STANDALONE in the Arrowood Brothers series.

Fight for Me is LIVE!

I fell in love with Sydney Hastings when I was ten years old.

At sixteen, we whispered promises of forever.

When I was twenty-two I broke them all. I left her and promised never to return.

After my father's death, I’m forced to go home to Sugarloaf for six months. She'll be everywhere, no longer just in my memories and regrets.

When we’re together, it’s as though time never stopped. She’s still the one I want, but I don’t deserve her. Instead of apologizing, I take that beautiful, broken woman in my arms. But after that, it’s her turn to leave me.

Now I have to fight. For her. For us. For the life we both want …

Fight For Me is the second book in the Arrowood Brothers series and features eldest brother, Declan, and his lost love Sydney. Both characters were introduced in Come Back for Me (book 1, Connor)

For most of Fight for Me, Ms Michaels broke my heart a little bit more with each chapter. The angst, frustration, and heartache Declan and Sydney were dealing with radiated off the page. I loved that even with all the baggage between them, there was also a magnetic connection between the two that wouldn’t let them stay apart. These were characters that I rooted for, even when I wasn’t sure what the right path was for them.

Technically a standalone, Fight for Me is very heavily connected to Come Back for Me, especially given how small the secondary cast is. This is such a strong read, I think it could be enjoyed in its own, but reading the books in order will add to the experience. I am definitely excited what happens with the 2 middle Arrowwood bothers!
