Shattered Secrets by Grahame Claire ~ New Release & Review

He saved me once, and now I desperately need him to do it again.

Shattered Secrets, an all-new addictive slow burn contemporary romance from USA Today bestselling author Grahame Claire is live now!

I hate him at first sight.
He’s arrogant. Ruthless.
We’re complete opposites.
We spent one weekend together and two decades later, I still can’t forget it . . . can’t forget him.
He saved me once, and now I desperately need him to do it again.
He’s the only one who can help my daughter.
And I’m beginning to realize he’s not the man I thought he was.
But will the secret I’ve been keeping shatter us both? Or will my sister find out the real reason I’m back in New York . . . her ex-husband.

Elizabeth's Review

3.5 stars - Worth a Reader's Time

Review Copy Provided by Author

I feel like the rating of this book needs a caveat- the lost 1/2 star has to do with the fact that Shattered Secrets isn’t a complete story (or at least I hope it isn’t!) there is a cliffhanger of epic proportions, so I am withholding some judgment until Shattered Sins is released.

Having said that…. Wow! The characters here are layered and interesting.
I found myself intrigued by JoJo and liking Kane. Their interactions are entertaining and I want to peel back layers and find out the why of so many things. For every peek the authors give us about these two, two more questions pop up.

The plot line here is also layered. There are family issues, potential legal issues, and romantic tension all rolled into assumptions and misunderstanding. I was pulled in and honestly disappointed when I realized there wasn’t enough book left for resolution.

Cliffhangers normally aren’t my thing - I prefer to wait until both books are available, but this was one I am glad to make an exception for. I have a feeling this story will keep my imagination busy until we have the conclusion.
