Cody Cooper has been in the background of the Time River series as we have seen his friends and family find their happy ever afters. Now, it's his turn to find the woman who turns everything on its head!
Hold Me Until Morning finds him reconnecting with Hailey. She was the one he couldn't go near when she was 18 and life forced them to drift apart before they could come together. They both have baggage and think they need to be apart, but life has other plans.
Ms Jackson pulled us in and weaved a story around them as they reconnected and shared their lives. This is a multi-layered story. Individually Hailey and Cody both have issues they are afraid to share and it was sweet to see them start to trust and lean on each other. Cody's friends/family embrace Hailey and bring her into the fold. Add those emotional elements to a great intriguing story that keeps the reader on their toes and we have a book that won't let go.
The secondary cast includes Ms Jackson's trademark scene-stealer kiddo. Ms Maddie was so cute and she fit right in with the other Time River couples. I don't know if this wraps up the Time River series (I think it might), but if it does this is a great way to do that.
