I love this series! The Houghton brothers are fantastic with a great relationship and it was so fun to spend time with the oldest brother Jude and his best friend, Sadie.
The One I Stood Beside is a well-written friends-to-lovers series with a twist. Jude and Sadie are both great characters that I enjoyed getting to know and watching them struggle with getting in their own way of happily ever after.
This story pulled me in and didn't let go while we watched them navigate the bumpy waters of their evolving relationship. Between how Jude and Sadie handled things, the input of the other Houghton boys, their friends, and the town made things flow quickly. I don't want to say too much, but I think Jude might just be one of my favorite leading men in a long time!
