Confession Time - I was nervous going into Code Name: Genesis. Kynan is a character that we have seen off and on in the Wicked Horse Vegas series and I was a little worried about being able to embrace him as a romantic lead. Another reason I was nervous, after reading Wicked Force (the novella were young Kynan and Joslyn first meet) I was a little worried about how they would be with each other here.

I should have known better than to worry - Ms. Bennett took wonderful care of these characters and made them and their story one that was easy to embrace. Having seen the earlier glimpses of Kynan (both in the novella as a young man and in the Wicked Horse series) actually made it easier to get to know him and like him here because it was easier to understand how his past impacted him.

Kynan and Jos's story is a great starting place for the Jameson Force Security series and the future players are woven in seamlessly to the intrigue that surrounds these two reconnecting after 12 years apart. One of the things I appreciated most about Code Name: Genesis is that the issues that separated Kynan and Joslyn were dealt with in such a way that it was believable and (relatively) easy for them to move past. This allowed the true conflict of the story to be focused on the things that brought them back together in the first place.

Based on Code Name: Genesis - I am excited to see what is in store for the Jameson Force Security series. There are several interesting secondary characters here that I can't way to see more of!
