Is swoon worthy and heartwarming a review?
No? Okay, maybe I can come with something better...
Come Back for Me is the first book in Ms Michaels new series featuring four brothers who are dealing with their pasts after the death of their father. The first brother featured is the youngest, Conner, and we meet him just as he is separating from the Navy SEALS.
When we meet Conner, Ellie is a memory with no name. Fate brings them back together when Ellie and her daughter need him the most.
The well written story that follows cover a wide range of emotions. There is fear, the strength to move past it, forgiveness, and the reconnections of two soul mates. I truly liked Ellie, Connor, and Hadley. They were all excellent and robust characters that I enjoyed getting to know. As I went in their journey with them, I was rooting for them to find their happy ending.
Ms Michaels did an excellent job of blending Connor and Ellie’s story with the introduction of his brothers so that we begin to get to know them and can also look forward to seeing what might be in store for them.
