Book Three in the Kingsmen football series gives us a deeper dive into Twyla (sister to Miles and frequent secondary character) and Chase (our featured player). Both are characters that we’ve seen before, but haven’t really had a chance to get to know until now.
The duo behind Piper Rayne deliver a sweet, slightly spicy, truly fun read with this couple. I genuinely liked both Twyla and Chase. I appreciated how she felt the need for a change and embraced opportunity and he is just so much more than he lets on!
A slow burn, friendship first story arc let’s us see both characters evolve. The awareness they have for their perceived flaws and the growth they experience make me root for them to get things figured out.
Add in a surprise feline friend and the Kingsmen couples that fill out the secondary cast and this is a read that I didn’t want to put down. This is definitely a high note to leave the Kingsmen series on!
